Echoes of the Floating Market

Inspired by the floating fish markets of Vietnam, this painting looks straight down on traditional wooden boats gathering on deep, swirling blue water. Woven into the heavy-body acrylic layers is hand-crafted slow-stitching. The threadwork adds another layer of texture and echoes the rhythmic, physical work of the Delta's fishermen.
