The Forest's Quiet Memory

Built from layered twigs, driftwood and natural fibre, with gold leaf on the eyes, lips and crown. The wood leads the way: its knots and grain decide the face, rather than being forced into one.

• Medium: Twigs, driftwood, natural fibre and gold leaf on textured canvas
• Size: 30 × 25 cm
• One of a kind, made by hand in Robertson
